Connecting your own domain, in plain English
DNS doesn't have to be intimidating. Here's what actually happens when you connect www.yourcompany.com to Micronuage.

Every project starts on a free Micronuage address like yourcompany.micronuage.com.br. It works immediately and it's perfect for previews. When you're ready, you can connect a domain you own.
Step 1 — Tell us the domain
In your project, open Domains and enter the address you want visitors to use, for example www.yourcompany.com.
Step 2 — Add one DNS record
Sign in wherever you bought the domain and add the record we show you. For most sites that's a single CNAME:

Step 3 — We verify and secure it
Micronuage checks the record automatically and moves through a few clear states:
- Pending — waiting for the record to appear.
- Verifying — we've seen it and are confirming ownership.
- Connected — traffic is reaching your site.
- SSL provisioning — we're issuing your security certificate.
- Active — done. Your site is live and served over HTTPS.
Most domains are active within minutes. Some registrars take a few hours to share DNS changes — nothing is wrong, and there's nothing else to do.
What about yourcompany.com without www?
Most registrars let you forward the bare domain to the www version. We recommend it: visitors who type either address land in the same place.
