AI credits

What a credit is, what each AI request costs, when the balance renews, how to buy more and what happens when a request fails.

What a credit is

An AI credit is the unit that measures the AI's work on your projects. Each chat request uses a few credits, depending on how much work it takes. Editing by hand, publishing and restoring versions use no credits.

The balance belongs to the workspace: every project and every person on the team draws from the same pool.

What each request costs

RequestCredits
Small or medium change in a code project3
Large request in a code project (several features at once, rebuilding the site or changing every page)10
A request that only answers, without changing the code (an explanation, a question back)1
Each step when a long specification is built in steps2 per step
A request to the architect in Plan mode1
A request in the chat of a visual editor project2
The Marketing panel's dossier2
Restoring a version, undoing a change, publishing, editing by handFree

Before a large request, the chat shows how long it usually takes (8 to 20 minutes) and how many credits it will use, and starts only after you confirm with Continue.

The plan balance and renewal

Every plan includes credits each month: 10 on Free, 30 on Starter, 200 on Pro and 750 on Business. On the Free plan and on monthly plans, the included balance renews every 30-day cycle. Included credits don't add up: whatever is left from one cycle is replaced by the new balance.

Included credits are used first. Credits bought in packs are only used once the included ones run out.

Credit packs

On paid plans you can buy one-time credits on Billing, in the Need more AI credits? section. Purchased credits never expire and stay in your balance even if you change plans or cancel the subscription.

PackPrice
100 credits$10
200 credits$18
500 credits$40
1,000 credits$70
  1. Open Billing

Packs are bought by the Owner or an Admin.

  2. Click Buy on the pack you want

The payment opens at Mercado Pago.

  3. Complete the payment and come back

The credits land in your balance as soon as Mercado Pago confirms, usually in under a minute. The purchase shows under Credit purchases.

When credits come back

  • A request that fails, or whose change doesn't pass the checks, gives back all of its credits. The site is not changed.
  • A request cut off before it finishes, for example when the server restarts, also gives everything back.
  • A request that only answers keeps 1 credit; the rest of the estimate comes back.
  • When you click Discard on a proposal, 1 credit is kept and the rest comes back.
  • If you don't have enough credits for a large request, nothing is charged and the chat suggests smaller requests.

Where to follow your usage

The AI usage page shows your balance, usage by project and the latest movements, with what the AI did in each one. On Billing you see the balance split into included and purchased, and the Credit activity list. The Dashboard warns you when you pass 75%, 90% and 100% of your included credits.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Your sites stay online and you can still edit by hand, publish and restore versions. To ask the AI again, wait for the renewal, buy a pack (paid plans) or change plans.

Can I buy credits on the Free plan?

No. Packs are sold on paid plans only. On Free, the way to get more credits is to subscribe to a plan.

Are credits per project or per person?

Per workspace. Every project and every person uses the same balance, and the AI usage page shows how much each project used.

Why did a request cost 10 credits?

It was sized as large: it asked for several features at once, created the project's first database, rebuilt the site or changed every page. Before starting, the chat showed the cost and asked you to confirm.

Do refunded credits expire?

They go back to your balance and follow the rules of included credits: they are used before purchased ones and don't carry over to the next cycle.
