Delete a project

Deleting removes the project from your list, takes the site offline and frees its slot in your plan. See what happens to the address, the domain and the data before you confirm.

Who can delete

Only people with the Owner or Admin role in the workspace. An Editor can rename but not delete; a Viewer doesn't see these options. See Workspace.

Before you delete

  • If the project uses a custom domain and you want it on another project, remove the domain first in the project's domains panel, with the Remove button. A domain left on a deleted project can't be connected to another one.
  • For a code project, if you want to keep the code, sync it with GitHub first.
  • If the site stores data, export what you need in the Database tab, with Export CSV.

  2. On the project's card, click … (More actions)

  3. Choose Delete

The message reminds you that the site goes offline and the project leaves your list.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take the site offline without deleting the project?

There is no option to unpublish a site yet. For now, deleting is how you take a site offline.

Why did my new project get an address with a number at the end?

Because the address without a number already belongs to another project, either active or deleted after it went live. To use the address you want, connect a custom domain.

I want to delete the whole account, not just a project.
