Your app's users
People who sign in to the app you published are kept apart from your team on Micronuage. Learn how to invite them, change roles and remove access.
Two different lists of people
There are two kinds of people on Micronuage. Workspace members edit projects with you (see Workspace). App users are your customers or staff who sign in to the published app: a customer area, an orders panel, an internal schedule. Being on one list gives no access to the other.
Each app has its own users, stored in its own database. The same person can have an account in two of your apps, with different passwords.
How people get in
- By invitation (the default): an app administrator sends an invitation and the person gets an email with a link to create a password. The link is valid for 7 days.
- Open sign-up: anyone can create an account on the app's sign-up page and gets the default role. To open or close sign-up, ask the AI in the chat.
- The first account created in the app becomes an administrator, even when sign-up is by invitation. So create yours right after publishing.
Passwords have at least 8 characters. Anyone who forgets theirs gets a reset link by email, valid for 1 hour. After signing in, a person stays signed in for up to 14 days.
Manage users from the Database tab
In code projects, you manage people without needing an account in the app:
Open the project and click Database
Under Manage, choose Users
The list shows name, email, role, last sign-in and who still has a pending invitation.
To invite someone, fill in name, email and role and click Send invitation
The tab also shows the invitation link. If the email doesn't arrive, use Copy link and send it another way, such as WhatsApp.
To change a role, pick another one in the list next to the person
To remove access, click Disable or delete the person
Disabling ends their open sessions at once and can be undone with Enable. Deleting removes the account; the records the person created stay in the app.
Note.If the app has a users screen, people with the administrator role can also do all of this from inside the app.
Roles and permissions
Roles (for example administrator, manager and employee) and what each one can see and change in each table are part of the app's data model, with up to 6 roles. Every app has the administrator role, and at least one administrator must stay active: Micronuage won't let you disable, demote or remove the last one. To create a role or adjust permissions, ask the AI.
User limit per plan
| Workspace plan | Users per app |
|---|---|
| Free | 3 |
| Starter | 10 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Business | 250 |
The limit applies to each app separately and includes pending invitations. Once it's reached, new sign-ups and invitations are refused until you remove someone or change plans.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see a user's password?
No. Passwords are stored in a way that can't be reversed, and neither the Database tab nor SQL query shows them. If someone forgot theirs, ask them to use the password recovery option on the app's sign-in screen.
The invitation didn't arrive. What now?
Ask the person to check their spam folder. The link shown when you send the invitation can be copied and sent another way. If it expires, delete the pending invitation and invite them again.
Someone on my team needs to use the app. Is being a workspace member enough?
No. To sign in to the published app, the person needs an app user account, like any other user.
What happens when I disable someone?
They are signed out of every session at once and can't sign in again until they are enabled. Their records stay in the app.
